Every car in the HawkDown Gallery carries its own vibe — the story, the choices, the purpose behind the build.
This week we’re spotlighting a super clean, OEM+ take on a chassis we all respect: Marc’s 2006 Acura RSX Type S (DC5). Simple, functional, and put together exactly how a DC5 should be.

Built for Feel
Marc kept this build clean, nothing wild, nothing extra.
BC BRs paired with MPC arms give the car a connected feel, and the Regamasters fit the DC5 perfectly with that classic JDM look while not doing too much. The RT615Ks keep the car feeling planted and responsive.
Inside, it’s all driver focused. The Titanium color interior, Tanida × Dogfight wheel, Hybrid Racing shifter, and HawkDown Teardrop make the whole cockpit feel mechanical and responsive, exactly what you want to achieve the OEM+ look.
Driven with Purpose
This RSX is the definition of OEM+.
A-Spec aero, quality suspension, the right wheel setup, and a clean interior that makes you want to just go drive. It’s subtle, it’s tasteful, and it still hits all the right notes of a proper DC5 build.
No flex, no clutter, just a well-put-together car that does everything right.
